Legal Tip of the Week:

When scheduling the appointment to sign bond registration documents, it is essential that clients allow themselves sufficient time to attend to it.

Bond registration documents are generally a substantial number of documents to work through and the conveyancer is obligated, in terms of the bank’s protocol, to point out and explain the documents to the client in detail to ensure that clients are fully aware of their rights and obligations.

There may also naturally be many questions which the client may have which can be discussed with the attending conveyancer.

It is therefore paramount that the client is not rushed or pressed for time to ensure that the process of signature can be attended without time related constraints.
